Cosmetic Breast Surgery Award of £8,000
November 2011
Following a previous breast augmentation Sophie attended for review as she was concerned that as they were 15 years old that they may need replacing. The surgeon advised the replacement of her old implants together with a procedure to correct breast asymmetry as the left breast was higher than the right. She underwent a further breast augmentation and relocation of the implant. This resulted in asymmetry of the implant and infra-mammary fold position and accentuated the asymmetry of the nipple position. A further operation was performed to lower the infra-mammary crease and for a further change of implants. No checks were made pre operatively regarding the integrity of the implants, and the implants could have been replaced with larger implants without altering the infra-mammary position resulting in severe discomfort. With the help of The Specter Partnership's expert clinical negligence solicitors Sophie recovered £8,000 in compensation.
£75,000 Compensation for Woman Following Amputation of Leg

Jean suffered from multiple sclerosis and had limited use of her legs. She developed severe pain in her big toe and was attended by her GP regularly for symptom control and treatment. Despite this the GP failed to recognise that she was developing vascular disease in her legs. Jean made a claim against the GP for delay in referring her to a specialist and with the help of The Specter Partnership's expert clinical negligence solicitors she was awarded £75,000 in compensation.

I was the victim of a negligent breast augmentation and struggling with my recovery from infection. I was terrified of a complicated protracted court case on top of trying to get better. I was concerned that the medical profession would cover up for each other and I wouldn't be able to prove their error. The moment I spoke to my Solicitor at the Specter Partnership I was put at ease and all my fears were dispelled. The Specter Partnership found experts near my home so there was minimal inconvenience. My Solicitor explained every step of the process so I always felt well informed. I was in very capable hands. I was thrilled the result; it was a silver lining to the very dark cloud.
From the outset, the Specter Partnership was professional and personable. They went to great lengths to ensure I was kept informed about my case and took enormous care to ensure that I understood the contents of the (sometimes complicated) medical reports. My case settled before going to trial which was fantastic as I thought going to Court would be distressing. My Solicitor was always easily available on the phone and I was amazed how such a big process could take place without a single hitch or delay. My case took two years to settle because of my uncertain prognosis, but the Specter Partnership secured me an interim payment. I received 100% of my compensation and couldn't believe there weren't any hidden costs.
I had spent all my savings on a facelift which went wrong. To be put on a Conditional Fee Agreement, where I wouldn’t have had to pay a penny whether I won or lost was a great relief. I was embarrassed by my appearance and had withdrawn from all aspects of my life. Not only did Specter Partnership get me my well deserved compensation, but they helped me get my life back on track. TSP went beyond the legal claim and assisted in arranging a corrective operation. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Specter Partnership to anyone going through the same thing.
